Hullooo zeeba!

I like how my apartment is just across the way from the zoo.
I look out the front window, and there it is.
Hullo zeeba neighba!
I think it's kind of odd, though, that the zoo sells beer.
So odd, that i didn't believe when i heard this.
But I checked, and they do.
Really expensive beer, right there.
Also, I think it's kind of odd that the zoo sells shot glasses.
So odd, that I wouldn't have believed that either.
Someone bought me a monkey shot glass, so I guess I have to.

I thought zoos were for kids!
Apparently they are also for getting hammered.
Who knew.

Zeeba!

Oh snap!

You ever have one of those moments where the eggs you bought aren't in the fridge, and you can't remember if you left them at the store or if they've been sitting around in your apartment for the last couple days?

It's scary, let me tell you.

Rain, rain, go away...

So it seems just about all of my plans for the weekend have managed to get rained out. Thanks, Mother Nature. I was going to take my bike into the shop to have them take a look at it; it's been making noises I don't like and not behaving like it should. I was also going to get in a show and a couple games of ultimate. I'm kinda bummed out about not getting out of the apartment so much this weekend. But then again, there's always more ultimate. There was a tournament this weekend, so even if the weather had been clear that would have drawn a lot of players away from pick-up. And at least I didn't drop money on a tournament only to get rained on all weekend. And of course there's always another show. None of my concert buddies had bothered to go to this one anyway, so I would have been all by my lonesome. Anyway, with my plans washed out I used my time to catch up on stuff and stuff and things that got put off from going to District Assembly last weekend and then basically putting everything possible to the side to work on a project this week. My email inbox has been atrocious, and my room was a mess. But now they're getting a bit better. Here's hoping I can juggle work, the animal shelter, ultimate and any new UU stuff that comes in and still finish the cleaning this week before the party and all that. Woo.

And here's hoping I can make it to and from work tonight without getting soaked. Especially to. Cause sitting at work while I'm soaked is gross and cold.

Good thing i'm not made out of cotton candy...

i had to make a run to the grocery store.
ok, that's easy, it's just a couple miles away.
i get outside and i'm about to take my bike down the steps to the street, when i notice a rumbling...
hmm... whatever yo, i'm up.
i start off riding, and there are these monstrous storm clouds out to the west with all sorts of lightening strikes going on.
this storm looks like it's about to break real soon.
hmm... whatever yo, i'm almost there.
i make it to the store under cover of threatening clouds, get inside, do my shopping, and come back out.
and...
no, the storm hasn't broken hardcore yet. it is raining a little. but not so bad.
hmm... whatever yo, it's not that far back to the crib.
so i take off, hopeful that i can make it back before this thing kicks off for real.
and...
i can't.
the wind starts blowing, there are BIG EFFING RAINDROPS coming down, big enough that they actually sting, and i'm trying to ride along hauling a load of groceries on my back.
i was all sorts of soaked and nasty by the time i got in the door, but hey, i've got food!
yay food!

It begins...

Well it's not as if I really need another blog... honestly I just started this in order to write comments, but I guess I might as well kick it around a bit, see how she handles.

This weekend was crazybusy. Juggling work, a General Assembly pre-site meeting, and hanging out with UU folks in from out of town is a sure way to keep the pressure on. I'm not exactly used to being out of the house for sixteen plus hours a day. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. My name is Marcus. I cowboy up.

Now, if only I had a time machine so I could slow things down and catch up on life...
